Stick Pens

The first patent for a self-contained ink pen came in the late 1800's and was granted to an American leather tanner who wanted something that would allow him to write on the goods he produced. His crude pen leaked and the coarse ball was too rough to write on smoother surfaces such as paper. Some forty years later, a Hungarian newspaper editor and his brother were contracted by Royal Air Force to produce a stick pen that British pilots could use at high altitudes. Since that time, improvements in design, affordability and availability have caused ballpoint stick pens to become the most widely used writing instruments in the world. Most research data puts the estimate of cap-top ink pens sold each year somewhere in the billions. Today, we offer a broad range of stick pens in ballpoint, marker, gel ink and rolling ball models.
